3 Ways to Make Facebook Ads More Successful
Unlike Instagram, Facebook is a pay for play social platform for businesses. It is almost impossible to get in front of potential customers without running advertisements. At The Burnette Agency, we create and manage Facebook ads for our clients, and have found several consistent qualities that result in positive feedback on advertisements.
Below we have outlined the three ways you can make your Facebook ads more successful!
Design
Is your photography or graphic eye-catching or engaging? If not, you may need to go back to the drawing board, or hire us. With our in-house photographer and graphic designer we are able to quickly relay client ideas into a visually compelling messages that reach thousands of people in Atlanta and nationally!
Studies have found that darker images or graphics are more likely to perform better on Facebook. This could be due to the contrasting colors of Facebook’s white feed to the image, or the psychological thinking of dark colors representing power and sophistication. Regardless of the reason, it has been found to appeal more to Facebook users.
Call to Action
Always, always, always have a call to action on your ads! This is a must when trying to convert people to customers. It is the next step that leads to a product being sold, web traffic increasing, or whatever it is you are looking to accomplish with your advertisement. Call to actions are the clear, concise way to direct your audience to doing what it is you would like them to do. Adding a picture of your product along with your call of action is a great way for customers to visualize what it is you are telling them to do.
For example, our client, The Bird and The Bee, sells Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan. If we wanted to promote her paint sales, we would include a picture of the paint being used so customers could easily see themselves using it in their homes with the direction to buy Chalk Paint® now before it is sold out!
Picture Quality
The quality of your ad photo will play a key factor in determining how engaged your audience will be with your ad. We would advise against using stock photos. Not only are they known for not performing well on Facebook ads, but customers can tell when a photo fake, and do not want to be mislead.
We have an in-house photography on staff who photographs our client’s work, products, etc. every month. Many of those amazing photos we use for content as well as advertisements.
