Refresh Your Instagram Highlights

It is no secret that Instagram’s highlight feature has been a great success. Social media users love Instagram story content, so being able to save it on your page is an added bonus. Highlights are a great way to save specific content into folders that are basically mini time capsules. Many bloggers use them for old Q and A’s, or for any kind of content with a similar theme that they want to keep on their profile.

Instagram stories are much more casual than static Instagram posts, which makes for much more relatable and engaging content. While users always want their posts to be aesthetically pleasing and match well with their feed, stories don’t have to. Stories can serve as a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes, or be used as a video diary of your everyday life. No matter how you use them, followers love the short-form concept behind stories.

The best part about highlights is that you can use a cover image that matches your feed, but the actual content does not have to. Everything is concealed behind the nice clean image on your profile. Choosing good highlight cover images is the only hard part.

Whatever your Instagram feed may look like, you want your highlights to enhance the overall look and continue your brands aesthetic. You can simply pull a color from your feed and add text in a pretty font, or you can use actual pictures as your cover image. Many users have gotten creative with their highlights and done things like rainbows or designs as their highlight cover images. We rounded up some of our favorite highlight looks below.
