Pantone recently released 2017’s Color of the Year. With that announcement we will be officially saying goodbye to 2016’s Rose Quartz and Serenity and hello to Greenery, Pantone 15-0343.
Greenery, a soft yellow-green hue, is a natural, neutral, accent color that reminds us of spring and summer, but will be an uplifting color seen year round. From graphic design, photography, fashion, and more, it will serve as a reminder of our environment, and the importance to protect it.
Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, says “Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment. Satisfying our growing demand to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose.”
