Hi there! My name is Kendall Hirst and I was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, where I recently became a graduate from Florida State University. I am new to Atlanta and loving every minute of it! I am thrilled to be the new Account Coordinator at The Burnette Agency and I can’t wait to learn more about this big city and all that it has to offer.
It took me some time to figure out what I wanted to do post-grad. Both my mother and sister are in the public relations field, but I wasn’t sure if it was the right path for me. After a lot of soul searching, and a couple of amazing internships, I decided that my interests and passions lie in the PR/social media field as well.
During my years at FSU I spent my time working at Whole Child Leon, the James Madison Institute, and Bascom Communications, all as a communications intern. I edited press releases, social media channels and policy publications, and even got to write monthly articles for the Tallahassee Democrat, the local newspaper. I became passionate about the use of social media and found myself excited about the prospect of starting a career in that field of work.
I am eager to build relationships with my clients and to collaborate with them to come up with new and creative ideas. Social media is extremely important in helping people connect, and is crucial in helping brands promote their products. I stay up to date with the latest social media trends and plan on helping clients by designing and implementing social media strategies that align with their business goals.
Overall, I could not be more excited to begin my new adventure at The Burnette Agency! I believe this job will help me grow as a person and give me a chance to apply my knowledge through clienteles social media.
