There are many keys to a successful photoshoot. You must have the right models, location, and camera! But here’s also another key component to photoshoots: props. Some people underestimate them and take them for granted, but some props  have the potential to complete a photo. We are discussing the top 3 props you need for your next photoshoot!

Flowers. There’s no denying that they’re beautiful by themselves. But when you incorporate them in a photo, they have the ability to enhance the picture Flowers are super versatile, too. Put them in the hands of a model that is wearing the dress you are advertising, or lay them beside the product you want to take a flatlay. The bottom line is that flowers fit almost everywhere, so before your next photoshoot, make a trip to your nearest flower shop and get as many as you want!

Books. Books have the potential to make your photo look  more sophisticated and intelligent! Whether it’s a pretty hardback novel or a trendy magazine, adding this prop in your photos adds a  level of composure. You can use this prop in any given photo. Like flowers, your model can be holding it to “read”, or you could lay your product on top of it to have it serve as a background in your flatlay. Either way, your photo will look much more artsy and savvy.

Drinks. Whether it’s alcoholic or nonalcoholic, we found that drinks give the photo a more fun and lively vibe. Nowadays, companies have been coming out with extremely artistic labels that would look amazing in photos. Whether your models are holding a pink bottle of wine to match their outfit, or placing a well crafted cocktail next to your product, you photo is guaranteed to look more pleasing and engaging. So make sure to save your La Croix’s and IPA beer bottles for your next shoot!

Successful photoshoots have many different contributing factors, and we definitely think that props are one of the most important. Do you have any props that you’ve found make your photos amazing?
