Facebook Adds New COVID-19 Information Panel
As more people search for COVID- 19 updates, Facebook saw a need to introduce a new feature in order to keep people informed about the COVID-19 pandemic. Facebook has introduced a new COVID-19 Information Center panel, which is featured at the top of all user News Feeds. You can see this new feature below in the mobile format. Facebook has also unveiled a coronavirus information center designed to appear at the top of users’ news feeds.
Instagram’s New ‘Stay Home’ Sticker
The ‘Stay Home’ sticker allows stories tagged with the sticker to be added to a custom story that compiles all uses of the sticker by accounts followed by a user. This allows users to see content from accounts whose story they might not ordinarily watch if that content is tagged with “Stay Home.”
Since then, they’ve added a ‘thanks health heroes’ sticker and a donation button. The donation button directs you to a page of nonprofits that all receive 100% of the money raised. These nonprofits are all related to fighting COVId-19 and include The United Nations Foundation, CDC Foundation, and UNICEF USA. Instagram announced the sticker on Twitter, writing: “To thank the health workers who have been working tirelessly to keep their communities safe, we developed a sticker for people to show their gratitude on Instagram. This will be available in the stickers gallery.”
